Upper Elementary

       CYCLING UNIT 🚲

Students are helping each other out in our cycling unit! Some students are already avid cyclists, so they pass their knowledge off to those just beginning to learn.

Those who are just beginning to learn made huge progress in their riding skills. They gained confidence, increased balance & fitness skills, and formed some great core memories.

           Team Ski

        CHAllenge! ⛷️

Tobin UE students were divided into 3 teams and given a team goal of getting to the other side of the gym with just two wooden planks and hand held ropes. They had to balance on the planks, and move them forward with the ropes! This is no easy task!

But with dedication, communication, resilience, and a team plan- they were able to be successful and have fun!!

From my Perspective: Communication about a team goal at an ALL TIME HIGH. Just working hard together to accomplish a team goal is awesome.

       GRADE 4 SWIM  🏊

Tobin 4th Graders were in the CRLS pool each Friday morning from April - June practicing their swimming and water safety skills!

Those students who did not know how to swim, were supported in the shallow pool while they worked on gaining confidence in the water, as well as floating, and basic strokes.

Those students who already had the basic skills of swimming were given the opportunity to get some exercise in the lap pool and dive off the diving board.

The Best Gift for a Teacher - Watching confidence grow each lesson; from those who were afraid of the water - to being able to swim a whole length of the lap pool!
