Children's House 

LOCOMOTOR LICENSE 🚗

Throughout these 4 weeks leading up to winter break, Children's House students are going to focus on Locomotor Movements. 

These are different ways to move (i.e. skip, gallop, jump). Their goal is to earn a Locomotor License at the end of this unit. Be on the lookout for it in their home-folders just before winter break. 

     🍩 DONUT PULL!


Students will work together to pull their peers on a fun & safe scooter ride around the gym. Once they have finished one lap, they switch turns!

This creates an environment of sharing turns, thinking of others, roles in a group, and teamwork! It also builds balance, and navigating with direction / force. 


Student also love the giant donut!

TRACK WORKOUT - 1 MILE RUN!

Follow along and run a mile (4 laps around the track) with me! I've added a few obstacles along the way (using old t-shirts tied up into a ball) to make running a mile a little more fun.

Mirror Mirror

Hello Tobin Tigers! 

First, get your daily workout in with a quick warm up before our main activity! 

Second, check out "Mirror Mirror," an activity which requires focus and concentration trying to move your body to match what you see on the video screen

Whatever movement you see on the screen, try to match it with your body. Also, when you hear the music stop, freeze your body and hold it still until you hear the music again.

Happy Third Week of School, Tobin Tigers!
