PREP for Life (Personal Relationship and Effective Parenting)

This discussion-based course addresses the knowledge, skills, attitudes, and behaviors all students need to participate in positive, caring, and respectful relationships in the family and with individuals at school, in the community, and the workplace.  This includes understanding oneself and others, dating, long-term committed relationships, family systems, financial responsibility, parenting, and the life cycle. Included in the course is the use of the “Real Care Baby” simulation program. The Real Care Baby infant simulator is an electronic baby that the students will take home overnight to allow them to experience the demands of caring for an infant full-time.
