Hello Pre-K Families,
We are in March, and into the last few months of school. I will update any important dates until the remaining of the school year in the Events/Special Days section. We have started our Insect Study! Please review Part 1 of our Insect Vocabulary List. We also will begin our Leprechaun Trap Project and Personal Health and Safety Education during this month. You should have received a letter about the Personal Health and Safety Education in your folders. We have emailed out a flyer regarding an optional Leprechaun Trap Home Project due by Monday March 16.

If you are kindergarten bound, make sure to check in on applications. Results for Kindergarten come out on March 13, 2026. Learn more on the GO CPS website. The Office of Access and Enrollment also have parent trainings on the Elementary school application/selection:

Hola familias de Pre-K,
Estamos en marzo-en los últimos meses de clases. Actualizaré las fechas importantes hasta el final del año escolar en la sección de Eventos/Días Especiales. ¡Comenzamos nuestro Estudio de Insectos! Por favor, revisen la Parte 1 de nuestra Lista de Vocabulario de Insectos.
También comenzaremos nuestro Proyecto de Trampa para Duendes y Educación sobre Salud y Seguridad Personal durante este mes. Deberían haber recibido una carta sobre Educación sobre Salud y Seguridad Personal en sus carpetas. Se envió información sobre el proyecto de duendes por correo, se puede entregar antes del 16 de marzo.

As the weather gets nicer, we will be going outside more. Please dress according to the weather.
If your child is showing any symptoms of illness, please keep them home. This helps protects other students and staff, as well as their families.
Monday-Thursday students wear uniform. Friday students can bring in one toy to share and can dress out of uniform.
For Late Pick-Ups: Please let us know if you are running late, or if there are any emergencies, or give the office a call. All Pre-K teachers clock out at 3pm, and Mrs.Carbajal has to attend to other students at our school. Mrs.Agnew who works with Pre-K, also had other duties after 3pm.

Carbajal tiene que atender a otros estudiantes de nuestra escuela. La Sra. Agnew, quien trabaja con preescolar, también tenía otras tareas después de las 3 p. m.

Lucky Sundaes for St. Patrick’s Day: Students received an order form for sundaes. Each 9oz sundae is $5 and comes with vanilla ice cream, whipped cream, sprinkles, chocolate syrup, and a cherry! All sundaes contain dairy. Special orders cannot be accommodated. Place your orders by March 13th and pick-up your orders after-school on March 16th. This fundraiser benefits the end of year activities for 8th grade.
Sundaes de la Suerte para el Día de San Patricio: Los estudiantes recibieron un formulario de pedido de sundaes. Cada sundae de 9oz cuesta $5 e incluye helado de vainilla, crema batida, chispas, jarabe de chocolate, y una cereza. Todos los sundaes contienen lácteos. No se aceptan pedidos especiales.
