If your child is going to be absent:

• We appreciate you giving us notice for when your child is going to be absent, but the office needs direct notice from the parents/guardians of that absence.

• You can give the office a call or leave a voicemail, when your child is absent. You can also write a note when you return.

• The main office is open to parents from 8:10 AM to 3:15 PM.

If your child is sick:

• Please make sure that you are not sending your child to school sick

• 📢❗ If your child is sick and has been diagnosed with a sickness, please self report by getting in contact with the office. In order for CPS to notify families, parents need to self report. Our clerks and nursing team need to know what sickness the student was diagnosed with and the clinic/doctor that diagnosed the student. In order for the student to return they will need to return with a doctors note. This makes sure that we are keeping everyone healthy and safe. 

• The child has to be 24hours fever free WITHOUT medication for the student to return. If your child has a fever, we will call home for pick up. This also includes if your child has diarrhea-your child has to be 24hours free without incident. 

Si su hija/o va a estar ausente:

• Agradecemos que nos avise cuando su hijo vaya a faltar a clases, pero la oficina necesita recibir la notificación directamente de los padres o tutores.

• Puede llamar a la oficina o dejar un mensaje de voz cuando su hijo esté ausente. También puede enviar una nota cuando regrese.

• La oficina principal está abierta a los padres de 8:10 a. m. a 3:15 p. m.

Si su hijo está enfermo:

• Por favor, asegúrese de no enviar a su hijo a la escuela si está enfermo.

• 📢❗Si su hij@ está enfermo y ha recibido un diagnóstico médico, por favor notifíque a la oficina. Es necesario que los padres informen sobre la situación para que CPS pueda mandar aviso a las familias. Nuestro personal de la oficina y de enfermería necesita saber qué enfermedad se le diagnosticó al estudiante, así como el nombre de la clínica o del médico que realizó el diagnóstico. Para que el estudiante pueda reincorporarse a clases, deberá presentar una nota médica. Esto nos ayuda a garantizar la salud y la seguridad de todos.

• Para que el estudiante pueda regresar, debe haber pasado 24 horas sin fiebre y SIN tomar medicamentos. Si su hijo tiene fiebre, llamaremos a casa para que vengan a recogerlo. Esto también aplica en caso de diarrea: su hijo debe haber pasado 24 horas sin presentar síntomas.

We love to celebrate students' birthdays. Each teacher has his or her own routine.  Please check with teachers if you have any questions. No unhealthy treats are allowed in the classroom, but if you want to give out a healthy nut-free alternative,  bags of pencils/toys/stickers, you can collaborate with the teachers to distribute the bags at the end of the day.

Nos encanta celebrar los cumpleaños de los estudiantes. Cada profesor tiene su propia rutina.  Por favor consulte con los profesores si tiene alguna pregunta. No se permiten golosinas no saludables en el aula, pero si quieres repartir una alternativa saludable sin frutos secos, bolsas de lápices/juguetes/pegatinas, puedes colaborar con los profesores para distribuir las bolsas al final del día.
