Northeastern Illinois University (NEIU)
Step-by-Step Guide
Joining the cohort (all steps must be complete!):
Enroll in the program. Apply to NEIU as a Graduate Student-at-large. Note that on the application page you should select “Graduate Student-at-large” rather than “Graduate Student!”
Once you register for the program, please inform the Office of Computer Science at cs4all@cps.edu and the NEIU program advisor, Akkady Tchaba, at atchaba@neiu.edu.
Register for courses and start the classes.
We will share the contract with you, and once that is completed, you will be a part of the endorsement program cohort. (This is done only once at the beginning of the program.)
Being a part of the cohort
You will be responsible for paying for the course on the deadlines determined by the university.
Finish the course successfully (with a 'C' grade or above)
Once the course is completed, share the requested documents that we ask for. (Transcript, evidence of tuition payment, etc. —The Office of Computer Science will send out an email at the end of every semester.)
Once we have all the documents, we will reimburse you 80% of the tuition fee. (This happens at the end of every semester.)
Once you've applied, the best way to plan your coursework is to consult this guide. Note: some course credits and descriptions are tweaked occasionally, so it's also a good idea to consult NEIU's course catalog.
