Actually the “Peace Tour” was the name of our first iteration. And though it clearly expresses our values, unfortunately many folks kinda tuned it out. But when we started talking about Crime, people tuned in. 

So we started asking, “Who does Crime prosper?” When you think of all the occupations that get paid when crime happens, each one is in some way part of the system of mass incarceration.

As community organizers, we want to make sure we’re identifying the root of the exploitation, and trying to starve it. Hence, “Crime Drought”
