Class Overview

Sixth Grade ELA (English Language Arts) will focus on developing advanced reading comprehension strategies, identifying themes of a story, comparing and contrasting different passages, supporting opinions in writing with details from a text, understanding figurative language, and vocabulary development just to name a few.

We will begin the school year with vocabulary and short stories, diving into concepts of plot, conflict, and setting.
