In order for students to be safe, courteous and effectuve consumers and creators of digital resources, the need to be good digital citizens.
Digital Citizenship encompasses a full range of skills and behaviors from online safety to resource literacy. All of those skills fall under the three main actions performed by every good digital citizen:
- Respect
- Connect
- Protect
The lessons below will help students to develop skills in all of the areas that make them literate, contributing and careful digital citizens.

IB Learner Attributes and Digital Citizenship
At the Middle School level, Digital Citizenship instruction will be framed through the lens of the IB Learner Profile and the IB Approaches to Learning Skills, helping students meet these goals while teaching them the skills they need to use technology in a smart, safe way.
