Over the course of exploring gymnastics, I have gained valuable insights into various fundamental movements such as the back scale, shoulder stand, crouch arm balance, bridges, and sideways rolls (log, barrel, or pencil rolls). Each movement has taught me the importance of balance, flexibility, strength, and coordination. I faced challenges such as maintaining balance in the back scale, where I often wobbled or lost balance. Holding the shoulder stand was particularly tough due to a lack of core strength and stability, with my legs often falling to one side or the other. The crouch arm balance required significant arm strength and coordination, and I struggled to find the correct balance point, often slipping and falling forward. Performing a bridge was difficult due to limited flexibility in my back and shoulders. Lastly, maintaining a straight body while rolling sideways was also challenging. This journey has deepened my appreciation for the sport and its athletes, highlighting the value of patience, perseverance, and consistent practice.
