Description: I will show how to create an Attending Group, both auto and no auto-enrollment. I will show how to set up release conditions on enrollment in the group and all the places the release condition needs to be added. We will also discuss the importance of a stopped attending notice and apply release conditions to the notice. If time permits, we can discuss the pros cons of creating two groups no auto-enrollment or one group (auto-enrollment), and add another late when needed.
Outcomes: At the end of this presentation, participants should be able to
Identify the difference between a Group and a “No Auto-Enrollment” Group and decide which would work best for you
Apply Release Conditions contingent on Group Enrollment on content and on “Tools” (quizzes, discussions, assignments)
Create a Stopped Attending notice with a Group Enrollment Release Condition
Weigh the pros and cons of using Groups or No Auto Enrollment Groups
