High school level courses taken and passed in middle school will count towards the 28 total units required to graduate from high school. The grade earned will post to the high school transcript and become a part of the student’s overall GPA. However, as per current HOPE scholarship guidelines, this grade will not be used to calculate HOPE scholarship eligibility. Please become familiar with HOPE guidelines and future HOPE changes so that you know how this might affect your child.
Basic introduction to healthcare topics. Team members are introduced to vital signs and learning basic medical equipment, different kinds of diets needed for disease processes, infection control and much more.
The academic course for credit at the high school level offered is American Government/Civics. The course meets the 9-12 grade Georgia Standards of Excellence (GSE) and will follow GSE units and frameworks. American Government/Civics is a semester long course, and it is a requirement for high school graduation in Coweta County.
Health and Personal Fitness is required for high school graduation in Coweta County. It is offered on the Edgenuity platform, which is self paced. Both portions of the class will be completed within one semester.
This course is the foundation course for both the Aircraft Support and Flight Operations Pathways. Team members will build a solid knowledge base in the history of aviation, the principles of flight and navigation, the aerospace community, and aviation meteorology.
The CEC Graphics Communication program introduces students to the processes, equipment, attitudes, and careers within the printing and design industries. The projects are designed on computers using industry-standard software by Adobe: Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, and InDesign. Sample projects and topics may include:

Strings/Instruments in Contemporary Music is an introduction to playing a variety of instruments including guitar, ukelele, violin, cello, bass guitar and other instruments. Class instruction will be in practice and performance and include music theory, music reading, song structure and instrumental techniques. No experience is necessary and instruments are available for student use in the classroom and for check out for use at home.
Team members receive an overview of television and the television team; careers in television and video; an orientation to writing for television as compared to other media; the use of basic television equipment, and much more.
