New backoffice app feature
(04.04.24)
Resets can now be sent directly from the backoffice app.
You will find it under Tools -> Emergency reset -> Scan barcodes -> click on "Perform reset" and et voilà.
This feature can be used for regular resets or when pairing code is shown in the app but there is no box to add it.
A big shout out to Cedric for adding this feature.
New firmware update around v4.19.X issue
(07.03.24)
v4.19.9 didn't fully solve the issue and this week Josh, Brent and Louis recovered a Com module in Brussels with the firmware issue.
Brent and Josh were able to find a fix and create a new firmware version (v4.19.12).
This firmware version is being deployed to all bikes at risk of the issue.
Some comm modules and firmware version v4.19.4
(05.02.24)
There is a known issue seen on a small number of bikes with v4.19.4 firmware causing the bikes to become unresponsive (Bluetooth and manual unlock). If you see this in the field, please advise the customer to leave the battery out of the bike and get in touch with us to confirm the issue.
We are investigating the issue and testing a new firmware version containing a fix (v4.19.9).

The Ming fender star nuts are purposely too large to be inserted into the Ming Forks, in order to install the star nut you must bend the "petals" slightly with a pair of pliers and gently hammer it in.

After removing the pads, please check if the pistons are sticking out. If they are, clean them with WD40 Specialist Dry Lubricant PFTE Spray and a clean cloth.
Make sure that the PFTE spray doesn’t come in contact with the disc or pads!
Lastly, push the pistons back into place using a new tire lever or tool such as the “BTL-115 Piston tool from BBB”, install the pads and wheel.
Side note : the spray can also be used to eliminate noise on belts.

Our Hardware team is investigating on specific results happening when you run the diagnosis after a repair. To understand those results, we'd like you to process to the following, after replacing the PCB:
Trigger a reset, and check the led lights. If they turn on all at the same time (instead of in cascade), the bike is in "Factory mode"
Select the "Backoffice" menu and connect to the bike
Select the "Tools" menu and click on "Factory mode recovery" and press "Start"
Trigger a reset again, and check if bike is still in "Factory mode"
If yes, report in follow up form.
Please know that it won't jeopardise the customer safety.
(30.1.23)
1. Applying penetrating oil on the nut.
2. Having a go at moving the broken PY spacer a bit so that it is not wedged in the rear wheel (using a screw driver as a chisel and tapping the screw driver with a hammer can help).
3. Using a good quality wrench, possibly extending it with a tube to have a bigger arm to remove the nut.
If the nut wears out or the allen key deforms/ breaks, then you have tried it all and you can contact the CSE back for further steps.

On C4 if you face issues with the brake hose and leaking cable; you should only replace the insert and olive.
As SunRace doesn't offer SunRace olive and insert, we recommend to use Olive and insert Jar (fitting Y8H298040): Shimano: BH59 or BH90. They are the best compatible but a bit hard to install.
To install them properly, you need to have the proper tools:
Cutter Hydrolic hose:Amazon link.
Needle insert tool: Amazon link.
With those, it shouldn't be a problem to install 'insert and olives'

We faced failed repairs after replacing the torque sensor on C2/C3.
In order for us to understand the issue here, we'd like to ask you:
Always install the whole new set you receive from the customer (not only the electronic part without its shell). Always using both items even if received separately.
For your next TS repair, first try the replacement the old way (without TS spacer and the bearing shield). We want to check if these 2 parts play a role in the failure.
If it works without those 2 parts, please let us know in the follow-up form.
