My Maps

What is My Maps?

My Maps is one of Google's applications and whilst it is based on Google Maps, it also has a stand alone app. You can create your own maps and share them with other people. This blog outlines some of the features of My Maps.

In this activity we are really only touching the surface of how you can use My Maps but hopefully you can see what the potential might be.

To create a map you need a computer and you can add others as collaborators. Once made you can share with others and they can access the maps on any mobile device.

The link to the map 'Why Hamilton?" is here or scan the QR code to the right.

Each place on the map is marked with a symbol. These are the places you will visit. Use the map to guide you to where they are. You can toggle the base layer between a simple diagrammatic view or terrain.
