TRS - Retirement Incentive Program. A resolution of the Cordova School Board of Education at Cordova, Alaska, electing to participate in the Retirement Incentive Program, (Program) Chapter 65, SLA 1996, and authorizing Dr. LeRoy Key, Superintendent, to enter into agreement with the administrator of Teachers' Retirement System (TRS) to fund the cost of participation in the program.

WHEREAS, the Cordova City Council, as the appropriate governing body, is desirous of participating in the distribution of funds under the provision of AS 43.50.140, known as the Cigarette Tax Fund, and

WHEREAS, under the terms of this Statute, the funds are to be used for the exclusive purposes of major repair and rehabilitation, construction, insurance, and debt retirement;

NO, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the funds distributed from the Cigarette Tax Fund will be used for the following purposes:

1. $12,000 Capital Improvement Project Planning - Mt. Eccles Elementary School: Visitation of Site/Information, gather alternatives from investigation, coordination with architect and district

FURTHER B E IT RESOLVED, that

1. The money received and spent will be accounted for in separate fund

2. The income derived from the investment of cigarette tax money will be credited to the fund and spent for the purposes described above

3. The disbursements will be made on upon the specific authorization of the Cordova School Board of Education.

State of Alaska Department of Education Cigarette Tax Resolution. (A resolution by the municipal government approving specific funs is required to be on file with the Alaska Department of Education)

WHEREAS, under the terms of this Statute, the funds are to be used for the exclusive purposes of major repair and rehabilitation, construction, insurance, and debt retirement,

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED:

1. That the funds will be used for the following purpose:

   1. CIP Project Planning - Mt. Eccles Elementary School Visitation of Site/Information, gather alternatives from site investigation, coordination w/architect & district - $12,000.

2. That the money received and spent will be accounted for in a separate fund.

3. That the income derived from the investment of cigarette tax money will be credited to the fund and spent for the purposes described above.

4. The disbursements will be made only upon the specific authorizations of the local school board.
