Log into the Concordia account created for you by Concordia.
If you are using Chrome as your browser, click on your profile in the upper right hand corner to change to “Add another account”
If you are using another browser, navigate to google.com and select “Sign in”
Enter the cord.edu email address (something like russian.ltc01@cord.edu) and the password. Both will be provided to you by the instructional team.
Click on the “waffle” menu icon to get a dropdown menu of Google applications.
Select the “Classroom” icon to enter Google Classroom.
Your instructional team may have already added you to one or more Google Classrooms. If this is the case, you will see the material as a “tile” on your “home” screen.
Just click “Join” to enter the classroom and access the material.
Alternatively, your instructor may have you join using a class code. After you get the code:
Click on the “+” icon in the upper right-hand corner, and select “Join class”.
Ensure that you are logged into your cord.edu account. If you are not, select “Switch account”.
Enter the class code from your teacher and click Join.
Tip: Class codes are 6-7 characters, and use letters and numbers. Codes can’t have spaces or special symbols.
The instructional team has organized your assignments by topic under the “Classwork” tab. To access assignments,
Click on the Classwork tab,
Click on the assignments indicated by the instructional team
Follow instructions within the assignment description
Click submit to make your work visible to instructors.
Cord.edu email addresses are not connected to a working gmail account, but there are a few ways to communicate in Google Classroom:
Use “Class Comments” to communicate with your class about a particular assignment,
Use “Private Comments” to communicate with only your teacher
Navigate to the the “Stream” tab to read recent announcements
