Hockey has always been a huge part in my life. I have played hockey since I was 4 years old and have been in love with the sport ever since then. I had the incredible opportunity to continue my career and play NCAA division III hockey at Concordia College for 5 years. This sport taught me so much over the years. It taught me how to have perseverance, a strong work ethic, and how to work as a team. I am forever thankful for this sport and the opportunities it has given me.
I was a member of SAND for 3 years. My last year I was the Vice President and Social Media Liaison. Over the years I have had the pleasure of hearing from very knowledgeable Registered Dietitians. Some things I have done as a VP is schedule speakers, and market the events on social media. My favorite speaker I have lined up was Sarah Williams, who goes by Nutritional Sarah on TikTok and Instagram.
I have been apart of CAC for all 5 years at Concordia. The main thing the organization does, is fundraising for cancer research and plan an event called Relay for Life. I have been on the community outreach committee. It is always so much fun to work hard towards the event all school year and see it come together at the end. At the event we invite cancer survivors and to see the difference it makes in their eyes is the more rewarding thing.
