Scholarships can be found via the links below. Some scholarships require a paper application, which can be found in the guidance office at CHS. Please ask Mrs. Simcox, our guidance secretary for more details. This page will be updated frequently, so please check back in for more opportunities.
Scholarships are financial awards given to students to help pay for college or career training. Unlike loans, scholarships do not need to be repaid, making them one of the best ways to reduce the cost of higher education.
Scholarships can be based on academics, financial need, leadership, community service, athletics, special talents, or career interests. Some come directly from colleges, while others are offered by local organizations, businesses, or national programs.
Earning scholarships is important because they:
Lower college costs and reduce the need for student loans.
Recognize student achievements and hard work.
Open doors to more college and career opportunities.
💡 Tip: Many scholarships require students to complete the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid), even if the scholarship isn’t need-based. Filling out the FAFSA ensures students are considered for federal, state, and college-based aid, maximizing the financial support available.
