These are the key dates we request students to keep free to ensure they can attend all the expedition activities.
Held at Students School
For Coombe Boys Students - Tuesday 17 March 2026, 3.15 - 4.15pm (Y9 students only)
For Coombe Girls Students - Thursday 19 March 2026, 3.15 - 4.15pm (Y9 students only)
Practice Day - Friday 8th May 2026 (school hours)
Students from Coombe Boys and Girls meet at Barton Green opposite Coombe Girls School at 8:30am.
No uniform - come in your expedition kit. Bring packed lunch (we will have a few spare lunches for students who receive free school meals)
Bring all your equipment to school that morning as if you are going on the expedition.
Barton Green Location:
Friday Night - Students go home after the training day at 3pm
Expedition Day 1 - Saturday 9th May 2026
All Groups - Students to be dropped off by parents/carers at the following locations:
Drop off details TBA and will be sent via email nearer the expedition date.
Expedition Day 2 - Sunday 10th May 2026
All Groups - Please note 3pm is an estimated time. Students to be picked up by parents/carers at the following locations:

DofE Timeline 2025-2026 CHECK YOUR PROGRESSION
September - October 2025 promotion and registration (deposit payment, Google form and Google Classroom), looking for volunteering/physical/skills placements
November - December 2025 - eDofE log-in details provided, registration of the volunteering/physical/skills placements (including full names of the assessors and their contact details). Full payment deadline: 10 Dec.
January-April 2026 - continuing (and finishing) the volunteering/physical/skills placements that started in the Autumn Term. An after school training session in March.
May 2026 - practice and assessed expedition, signing off the assessors' reports (and finishing the placements if necessary)
