Coombe Careers Fair (March 2024)
(Part of National Careers Week)
The aim of the Coombe Careers Programme is to ensure every student will have multiple opportunities to learn from employers about work, employment and the skills that are valued in the workplace.
One of the Coombe Careers Programme highlights of the year was the Coombe Careers Fair whereby 60 employers from over 12 different employment sectors were involved. We had over 500 Yr 9-13 Coombe Boys’ and Coombe Girls’ school students (plus parents) attend the event. This Careers fair provided a fantastic opportunity for our students to have meaningful encounters and learn from industry professionals in regard to skills and experiences required for certain jobs.
'The Coombe Careers Fair was fantastic. I didn’t really know what I wanted to do for a job but now I have learnt a lot about a range of careers and will help in the future'
