Urge Your Legislators and Governor Polis to Stand with Colorado Immigrant Families & Support SB25-276
To heal the traumas from country of origin, migration journey, and the harsh attacks of US policies
To provide a way to synthesize the complex world around us in the face of uncertainty
To uplift a network of intergenerational support
Speakers’ Collective is a year-round program where high school students (grades 9-12) who are immigrants, refugees, or first-generation lead informational workshops at conferences, events, and meetings with students, educators, service providers, and families. Through these presentations, students build a supportive community of advocates while raising awareness about immigrant youth experiences.
Students analyze the role of immigrants and refugees in the community, media, government, and policy and then take collective action on a community art project.
When: every year, mid-June – end of July
Eligibility: 6-12th grade immigrant, refugee, and first-generation students.
Our sessions allow students to build community as we engage in storytelling. Our goal is to empower our students in their immigrant journey and use art as a way to synthesize our stories.
When: Fall and spring
Eligibility: 6-12th grade immigrant, refugee, and first-generation students.
