About Convivir Colorado

Convivir Colorado is an immigrant-led nonprofit that combines our lived experience with professional expertise at the intersection of education, immigration, and mental health.

Since 2020, we have provided holistic and long-term support to almost 300 immigrant, refugee, and first generation American youth. And we have facilitated trainings on how to support undocumented students to over 1,800+ educators.

As leaders in the Colorado education ecosystem, we created this Google site to support schools amidst the looming threats of heightened immigration enforcement. We hope this serves to synthesize and organize the overwhelming amount of information relevant to keeping students safe in Colorado schools.

Undocu-Friendly School Audit

A school audit helps assess how welcoming and supportive a school is for undocumented students and their families. It highlights areas for immediate improvement in policies, staff training, communication, and resources. Using guiding questions, administrators can reflect on strengths and gaps to ensure all students feel safe and supported. Convivir encourages schools to use this tool for growth and welcomes feedback on its impact.
