May 5th
On the morning of Friday, May 5th, your team will present your proposals! It's going to be great, but if you're stressing, check out the following details...
If you're worried about where we're doing these presentations:
We'll be at The Collider in downtown Asheville (you'll get there via school bus). Each group will get one table to set up their presentation materials.
If you're worried about talking in front of a big group of people:
You will NOT have to stand in front of a large group of people and talk. Your team will present your proposals in a Gallery Walk style. This means that you'll have a table to set up all of your materials, and people will come up to your table and ask you about your proposals.Â
If you're worried about who is going to be there:
The following people will probably attend:
People from Riverlink (you've met Justin Young several times)
People from the City of Asheville (you will have gotten feedback from them on your projects before the presentation)
People from Mountain Valleys (you've met Mariah Hughes and Greg Jennings at Azalea Park)
Parents (your parents are invited!)
Other teachers (other teachers from different schools are invited so that they can see how they might do a project like this one)
If you're worried about "Professional Dress":
An easy way for anybody to do "business casual" professional dress:
Jeans without holes in them
A shirt with buttons ($2 at Goodwill)
A blazer ($6 at Goodwill)
