During winter break do you go anywhere? Do you just stay home and rot in bed? A lot of students visit new places or spend time with family and friends.
You would’ve never figured it out but the majority of students don’t like staying home. They like going out and discovering places they’ve never been in.
“ I traveled to Memphis Tennessee; while being there I went to Graceland, Elvis Presley museum and got to see his house, outfits, and awards,” junior Marcela Hernandez said.
On the other hand there is another majority of students who do like to stay home. Students like to catch up on any shows that they haven’t finished, or figuring out new shows they’ve never heard of before.
“ I stayed home and catched up on my favorite show Stranger Things, and I started watching Riverdale,” junior Yuliana Sanchez said.
Not everything is always about traveling and just having fun with friends and family. Many students have to work or participate in extracurricular activities. Some students have family members who own their own store and they go and help around.
“During the weekends I worked at my moms salon like I would sweep, give prices, and interact with customers,” Hernandez said.
It all comes to an end and as you know it winter break is over. Many students are happy or nervous to be back to start a brand new year.
“ I am happy to be back but I am nervous about how this year is almost over, meaning I am getting closer on being a senior,” Sanchez said.
