A Future In Beauty 

The cosmetology program has been working on many tasks to improve their beauty skills. Students have been listening, studying, and working to give clients a better understanding of risks and cares to guide them for the service that they would want. It’s not just “doing hair” but making other people feel happy about themselves. 

Cosmetology II students are learning right now on how to put foils to create highlights. Some students enjoy it and others find it difficult. Patience is always the key for learning something new. 

“I enjoy learning how to do foils since I want to do hair, just one thing it requires a lot of patience,” junior Emma Nicole Sosa said. 

The cosmetology program also offers other services like men's haircuts, eyebrow   waxing, pedicures, nails, hair styling, skin care etc. Students get hours and clock in, in order to get their license. 

“We don’t just do hair, we also do more services for people to come and check it out,” junior Yaleni Salinas said. 

Every Tuesday the cosmetology program offers people to come in to get a service from cosmetology students who are beginners and want to learn to get better. The salon opens at 3:00PM. Anyone is more and welcome to go and support the cosmetology program.
