Artists from across the community gathered to showcase their creativity in this year’s vase art competition. Each entry showcased a mix of skill, imagination, and creativeness. The stakes were high, and in the end only the most unique pieces earned a place among the winners.
Before creating their piece, artists first had to choose a theme. This choice influenced every detail of their design. From there, artists built their creations around it.
“I chose religion and my faith as my theme with my art piece to inspire other christians to be bold in their faith,” junior Anna Nash said.
Creating an art piece takes time, patience, and careful attention to detail. Each artist worked at their own pace to achieve their final result.
“It took me about 2 months to complete my vase project due to many inconveniences,” junior Logan Lebron said.
Even with a clear theme, students came across hardships during the process. They started to realize that creativeness alone wasn’t enough to complete the project.
“Sometimes the most challenging part for students when creating the piece is coming up with the original idea and then meeting the deadlines,” teacher Ms Owen said.
The completed artworks transformed the space into a colorful gallery. The variety and skill of the students’ work was inspiring and something to remember.
“I was really proud when I saw all of the strong art pieces at vase this year and I loved seeing all of the different styles and media,” Nash said.
