Third Grade

Third Grade Remote Learning Office Hours:

Teachers may be reached via email 9am - 10am, Monday through Friday. During this time, you can expect a quick and timely response.

Remote Learning

We will be using Google Drive (predominantly Google Slides) as well as email so please check those regularly. As of now, the main method of communication will be through teacher email. A link to Google Slides will be sent to the parents in an email so you can access the week's assignments and activities.

We are still planning to have students come pick up paper learning materials as well. Due to the ever changing situation, our packet pick up will now be self-serve. Our student packets for the current week will be stored in filing cabinets labeled by grade level under the car rider line patio beginning at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesdays. The packets will be available for pick up throughout the week. For the safety of all, please remember to utilize social distancing when picking up packets.

Weekly Google Slides Learning Pathways and paper learning materials can also be found by clicking on the weekly packet buttons below.

In third grade, it is recommended that your child is engaged academically for about two hours each day. When and how your child completes those daily hours of instruction is up to you and your family.

Independent Reading

We all know how important it is for students to keep up with their independent reading. With the school and public libraries closed, getting books into the hands of our kids can be a challenge. There is a wonderful website, EPIC, that gives students access to a huge library of picture books, chapter books, and audio books as well. This is usually a paid site, however it has opened up as a free site for families impacted by school closures.

Please read the privacy policy if you are interested (www.getepic.com/privacy).

If you would like to have access to this site, please let your language arts teacher know.

To access Canvas and Google Drive for remote learning as directed by your student's teachers, your student must log into Conroe ISD's SSO (Single Sign On) which allows the student to sign in once and have access to these applications.

Please contact your student's teacher if your student does not know his/her login username and password.

Please note that a student must log into SSO and access their personal Canvas and Google Drive accounts in order to do any lessons and activities.

Students cannot complete any Canvas work from within a parent Canvas account.
