In This Piece, Embark on a journey into the atmosphere of COVID. As our world continues to swirl around the pandemic of COVID, the streets look entirely different. People wear masks, social distance, and tend to stay in their homes. What is the soundscape of these areas, and how can we use art to interpret the feelings that arise from this situation?
Social Distancing and Sound
As people move through the streets, the danger as people get closer to each other increases.
Dangers of Person to Person Contact
Sometimes the streets are the areas in which COVID can spread from person to person, especially when closer than 6 feet.
As our world revolves around COVID-19 and its effects on the population, there's a sense of danger and separation from the people you would normally not be afraid of. A lot of these effects are shown through how people interact on the streets. What could have been a bustling social area is morphed into the landscape of a virus ravaging the world. What's interesting is that the people haven't necessarily changed, but the way we view them, and view the area that we occupy on a day to day basis, has completely changed into something much scarier.
