I'm genuinely just a person who likes to focus on the positive. For our pathway class, we have explored ways how data is used in unethical manners. However, I wanted to focus more on the good. This was the first initial question I thought of, but I know I needed to branch out and focus on more specifics.

I have been interested in activism since growing up. I come from a background where practicing activism is not encouraged due to valid circumstances. I'm very passionate about various issues and I want to be very vocal about them to spread awareness. I know I'm not the only one who goes on this issue and I want to highlight how we can make activism accessible and safe for everyone through mediums of their choice, despite the risks you do have to take to stand on issues you do care about.

How can we use Human-Computer Interaction Fundamentals and Design to support marginalized communities?
I have grown interested in the principles of Human-Computer Interaction as a multidisciplinary field and how it centers humans and how we would interact with technology and use it to provide solutions to real-world problems! For the summer of 2024, I'm fortunate enough to conduct HCI research at Carnegie Mellon University!
