In March of 2019, Shreyas & Marcus, while in 7th Grade, joined the HS Aerospace Cub. There, the construction of their own DJI F450 drones commenced. The boys honed there soldiering skills, and familiarized themselves with the parts of a complex quadcopter.
By late 2020, the drone was ready for flight. Triton Beta featured an onboard CC3D flight controller, 20A SimonK ESCs, and 980kv brushless motors. This drone, Titon Beta, will serve as the beta tester of the Triton Bravo, ultimately proving the many concepts that will be used in producing one of the world-class drones.
The majestic & mighty Triton Bravo is powered by a monumental 5200mAH 4S Lithium-Polymer battery, 880kv motors, 30mah Simon K Brushless ESCs, all built into an astronomical SK520 custom frame. Behind the mighty Triton bravo lies the single most intelligent FC: the PixHawk 2.4.8.
After some basic hardware mounting, in under 3 hours, the mighty Triton Bravo was standing on its own legs. With the lower cargo bays mounted, and the main bars running across the drone, the first & second decks of the drone were completed, and ready for electronics integration. The Triton Bravo features Carbon Fiber legs, with an anti-slip grip attacked to the lower segment. Alone, the legs stand 160mm off the ground!
After completing the main structural part of the drone build, Shreyas proceeded to begin soldering the ESCs onto the PDB ( Power Distribution Board). The Triton Bravo has a very unique PDB setup. An XT-60 goes directly into the PDB, then next to that are 4 ESC Ports. What really makes the Triton Bravo stand out from other drones is the extra power distribution pads available for Gimbal / other avionics!
Once the lower frame was completed, it wasn't long before Shreyas began work upon the Digital Viewing System ( DWS) of the drone. The drone can be equipped with a video camera shooting at upto 8k 60FPS. With the standard Equipment, a 1080p HD 60FPS camera is attached, along with a brushless 2-Axis Gimbal for perfect stability in flight.
Houston we have ignition! Triton Bravo's electronics finally had power surging through the many wires of Triton Bravo. The powerful UAV was ready for its configuration, setup, and maiden flight!
