Hello everyone, welcome to Chinese AP!

This AP Chinese Language and Culture course is designed to prepare students for the AP Chinese exam by providing a comprehensive overview of the exam format and targeted strategies for success. Students will deepen their understanding of the six themes covered in the exam while honing their communication skills in listening, speaking, reading, and writing. Through a blend of theoretical knowledge and practical application, this course aims to build confidence and proficiency in Chinese. 

COURSE OBJECTIVES

• Familiarize with the AP Chinese Exam Format: Understand the structure, content, and expectations of the AP Chinese Language and Culture exam.

• Master AP Exam Strategies: Learn and practice effective strategies for each exam section, including multiple-choice questions, free-response questions, and spoken and written performance tasks.

• Deepen Knowledge of the Six Themes: Explore and gain insights into the six themes of the AP Chinese curriculum: Families and Communities, Personal and Public Identities, Beauty and Aesthetics, Science and Technology, Contemporary Life, and Global Challenges.

• Enhance Communication Skills: Develop proficiency in the four key language skills—listening, speaking, reading, and writing—through targeted exercises and practice.

• Engage in AP Exam Drills: Participate in simulated exam scenarios to build familiarity with the testing environment and improve time management and response accuracy.
