Francesca Vera is a graduate of Stanford University, with Bachelor's degrees in Computer Science and History and a Master's degree in Symbolic Systems. She is an incoming data scientist at SetSail, an AI startup that manages sales productivity. She also works as an instructor for Inspirit AI, a high school intensive in Artificial Intelligence led by Stanford and MIT alumni and graduate students. Previously, Francesca worked as a data science consultant for Teach for the Philippines, an education non-profit, where she collaborated with the Data and Impact Assessment team to provide insights on training programs and teacher evaluations.
B CAVELLO, TECHCONGRESS
B Cavello works in Congress as a Congressional Innovation Fellow, advising on tech issues and gaining first-hand experience in federal policymaking. They draw on their background in AI, game design, and facilitation as they collaborate with leading thinkers in technology, policy, and human rights. They have been recognized as an IBM LGBT+ Out Leader and serve as an industry advisor for the NASA Frontier Development Lab.
IRIS OLIVER, TUFTS/MICROSOFT
Iris Oliver works as a program manager at Microsoft where she works on design and engineering for Microsoft Edge iOS and Android apps. She coordinates the design, engineering, marketing, user research, and legal teams to ship and create new features for the app. She ensures that the app is accessible to users with disabilities and follows global privacy standards in their data collection.
STEPHANIE TRETHAWAY, FIDELITY INVESTMENTS
Stephanie Trethaway has worked for Fidelity Investments for 21 years and is the global co-chair for the Women in Technology group. She is passionate about volunteering to support members and allies. At Fidelity she leads a global team of technologists responsible for supporting the Asset Management business unit. Her team develops and supports the software and data platforms responsible for common data and compliance, risk and business operations capabilities.
GLORIA GADEA-LOPEZ AND JENNIFER CAMPOS, ACCENTURE
Dr. Gadea-Lopez helps biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies define strategies for digital transformation that lead to innovative operations. She leads technical teams of consultants at Accenture that identify and deliver plans for new digital systems and data analytics used by gene therapy and biologics companies.
Jennifer Campos works for Accenture and oversees the Life Science Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), Serialization, and Data Analytics & System Strategy projects and people in North America She manages client contracts and purchase orders, team staffing and punctuality, and project expenditure and marketing. Before Accenture, she has worked in international brand protection/anti-counterfeiting software at Sproxil, custom corporate workforce development at Great Bay Community College, elementary school teacher in Honduras, event planner at the Isles of Shoals Steamship Co, crew on the Angelique windjammer, and legislative aide in the Maine State Senate. She holds a Bachelor's Degree from Colby College in Government and a Master's in Education, K-12, Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages. She is an advanced Spanish speaker as well.
