The PACKAGING of a product includes LABELS, PACKAGING and BAGS. It is the support of the brand image and is part of the company’s corporate visual identity.
The MAIN CHARACTERISTICS that a packaging must have are:
SIMPLICITY.
SPEED IN THE PERCEPTION OF THE CONTENT.
CORRECT PRINTING of images and texts.
The FUNCTIONS of packaging are:
Help with the sale of the product. It must be attractive and lead to the choice of purchase.
Provide the required information (Composition, ingredients, manufacturer's details, expiration date, ...)
Conservation. It must be durable, suitable for protecting the product in suitable conditions and comfortable for the user.
Once we know these few concepts, we get down to work. Students were asked to design packages with cylindrical or triangular and rectangular prismatic volumes, and complete them with the texts and graphic design usually found in commercial products.
