Counseling Small Groups
Sessions will be held for small groups of 3-6 scholars in January 2025 every Tuesday, for 4 weeks, covering the 4 areas outlined below.

Grade
6-8th Scholar Peer Motivation - discuss everyday scholar challenges and build relationships with peers
6-12th Thriving and Achieving Peers - TAP into skills and mindsets for academic success with peers
9-12th Back in the Groove - discuss barriers with peers, helpful habits, and get back into the school routine
11-12th Designing Your Life - explore and plan for your future using principles of design thinking
College & Career Success (CCS) Cafe
CCS Cafe Learning Labs will focus on a different College Career readiness topic by grade level on the last Thursday of each month.
Middle school scholars will participate in college & career exploration activities. High school scholars will hear from college representatives & career guest speakers, attend virtual college tours, & prepare for their post-high school goals.

Social Emotional Learning (SEL) Lab
Social Emotional Learning (SEL) Lessons will be delivered to 6-12th graders by request of the scholar, supervising teacher, or learning coach.
Please submit the Counseling Learning Lab (Classroom Lesson) Request Form if there is a lesson you'd like our counselors to facilitate for your scholar's homeroom or grade span.

Moving Up Transition Program
This annual workshop supports the scholar in their transition from Elementary to Middle School and Middle to High School. The workshops will be held during the Spring Semester each school year for rising 6th and 9th-grade scholars in the counseling learning lab.

Course Selection & Academic Planning Program
This annual workshop supports the scholar in selecting classes, understanding academic requirements, and planning for graduation and beyond. The workshops will be held in the Spring Semester of each school year for 5-11th grade Online & Options program scholars:

Decision Day Program
This annual workshop celebrates our scholars who have made the commitment to continue their plans for after high school to attend a university, community college, other educational institution, training program, workforce, or join the military. The celebration will be held at the beginning of May each school year for everyone in the CCS community, including scholars, LCs, families, faculty, and staff.
