Concurrent Enrollment
Steps to Get Started:
Review the CCS Concurrent Enrollment Policy.
Complete the CCS Concurrent Enrollment Interest Form.
Create your CCCApply account.
*Community College enrollment is not guaranteed for high school scholars*
Work Permits
IMPORTANT STEPS:
Review the CCS Work Permit Policy.
Review the General Summary of Minors' Work Regulations.
Complete the Certificate of Age Form (B1-1). Email Ms. Olson (molson@compasscharters.org) if you need a copy of the form.
Once you are hired, have your employer sign the B1-1 form. Work Permits are specific to the employer, so you must have a job offer to receive an official work permit.
Email Ms. Olson the completed B1-1 form.
Once all steps are completed, Ms. Olson will issue your official work permit (B1-4). Scholar is responsible for submitting the official work permit to the employer.
*Scholars must maintain minimum eligibility requirements to have work permits renewed each semester*

Financial Aid
The 2024-25 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and the California Dream Act Application (CADAA) is now available. Students can begin applying for financial aid for the 2024-25 academic year with the FAFSA or CADAA which can be accessed through the Commission’s homepage. The priority deadline for the Cal Grant and Middle Class Scholarship programs is April 2, 2024, however, students should keep in mind that some colleges may have an earlier financial aid application deadline for their institutional aid.
You are eligible to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) if you are a:
US citizen
Permanent resident
Eligible non-citizen
T visa holder
You are eligible to complete the California Dream Act Application (CADAA) if you:
Are undocumented
Have a valid or expired DACA status
Are a U visa holder
Have Temporary Protected Status (TPS)
Meet the non-resident exemption requirements under AB 540
Only one of the above applications should be completed.
Please note, beginning with the Class of 2023, the state of California now requires the completion of a financial aid application during a scholar’s senior year of high school. Seniors may OPT-OUT of this requirement by completing this form by April 1, 2024.
