COURSE INFORMATION
Our Nurse Aide Training and Competency Evaluation Program (NATCEP) is a state approved course that prepares a student with the necessary training to become a successful Nursing Assistant. Our program provides the skills & training needed to obtain employment in Nursing Homes, Hospitals, Home Health and Rehab Facilities. Our program also provides our students with the necessary training required to sit for a state proctored competency evaluation in which the student tests to gain Certification as a Nursing Assistant. Our programs take approximately 3 – 4 weeks to complete training.
Our NATCEP provides:
• A minimum of 60 clock hours of classroom & lab based training
• A minimum of 40 clock hours of hands-on resident care in an approved skilled nursing facility
• An AHA Basic Life Support (CPR) course

Eligibility Criteria:
· 1st time Community Action applicant
· 18 years or older
· High school diploma or high school equivalent (GED, HSE) preferred
· Educational Attainment: Associates degree or below (those with a bachelor's degree or higher cannot be considered)
· Must demonstrate an academic need on the Tests of Adult Basic Education (TABE), if a high school diploma or the equivalent has been attained
· Preference given to those living in the counties surrounding Travis County (Rural Capital Workforce Area)
· Legally authorized to work in the US
· Background checks will be run - Any type of assault charges will automatically disqualify applicants
