BEGINNING the academic year of 2021-2022.... The State of Texas has added completion of the FAFSA (or TAFSA) as a graduation requirement. What is the FAFSA? It is a federally funded program that helps students pay for college. This is need based (income levels) and uses tax return information of the parent or guardian on the student. Students can apply and receive grants (don't pay back) and loans (pay back after graduation) to help with tuition and other life expenses while enrolled in college. Please see Mrs. Sample for an opt out form.
