STUDENTS!
MAKE SURE YOU ARE LOGGED INTO YOUR CCS STUDENT ACCOUNT BEFORE CONTINUING
On your computer or Chromebook, click on the Invite link below your school to get started if you are in 4th or 5th grade and are interested in joining. Most of you will have already done this after Mr. Douglas visited your classroom, but I am putting a link here just in case. If you decide that Instrumental isn't for you, we can always take you out of the class. This way your parents can access this website (I will put a link in your Google Classroom) and you can talk about things together.
If you continue to the point where you click "Join Class" it will enroll you in Instrumental for that school. Please know that this is a voluntary class and requires a lot of discipline. Mr. Douglas needs you to understand that you will most likely be pulled from other classes if you would like to participate. Your academic and behavior focus must meet high standards in order to be successful. We are depending on you to contribute to our group!
There are many helpful things that I can share with you via the Google Classroom, so make sure you get enrolled!
You are strongly encouraged to get your own instrument, book, and materials. See the "Helpful Stuff" tab above to get started.
We are still being asked not to share instruments, books, pencils, music stands, sheet music etc. Covid and sanitary concerns still exist.
You MUST NOT ever share your Instrument with others or play anyone else's. This is good rule for both your health and preventing expensive accidents.
Your name MUST ALWAYS be visible on your Instrument Case, Book, and any other materials. You may know that is your case but if you leave it in a lunchroom, bus, hallway, etc., no-one else does. This will count against your grade, so be responsible!
Your grades and behavior matter! Make sure you are a responsible person and a responsible student.
Per CCS, 4th graders may only participate in Strings classes (Violin, Viola, Cello, or Bass).
5th graders may continue on in Strings or play a Brass, Woodwind, or Percussion Instrument.
