Our team utilized a two-phase brainstorming approach, beginning with a silent collaborative brainstorming session where team members independently generated ideas. While this proved to be our most effective technique, we immediately followed our solo brainstorm with a whiteboard session and designated scribe. The sequential coupling of these methods was particularly beneficial, as our group ideas naturally built upon individual contributions, creating a continuous flow of creative energy throughout the process.
The image carousel above features most of our tangible ideas from this stage, all of which highlight the most promising solutions to increase personal enjoyment of music while enabling community sharing. Our ideation resulted in various shareable music methods such as a modular (mod speaker) and a separable speaker system "Hanoi tower of music." Similarly, we also discussed SharePods, a set of single-sided earbuds grouped and connected to one phone, and the Peace Pod, an ultimate experience in personal music enjoyment. Finally, our NFC-enabled carabiner to instantly share a favorite song, album, or playlist emerged.
