The Summit will be held at the historic Hotel Boulderado in downtown Boulder, Colorado.
The Hotel Boulderado features numerous amenities, including:
Complementary wireless internet and newspaper
On-site fitness center
Additionally, the Hotel Boulderado is conveniently located near Boulder's Pearl Street Mall, providing easy access to dining, shopping, and more -- all within walking distance!
Colorado weather can be unpredictable, but the forecast looks good, with no moisture expected. Plan for a wide range between day and nighttime temperatures, and bring a water bottle so you stay hydrated in our dry winter air. Most sidewalks are snow-free, but local trails, including the Boulder Creek Path, may be snow-packed and icy.
The nearest airport is Denver International (airport code DEN).
Please plan to arrive by 4 pm on Wed. 11/6 and leave after noon on Fri. 11/8 (so you can get home that evening). If you have trouble finding flights that enable this, please let us know before you book.
To get to/from Boulder, we encourage you to use the excellent low-cost and low-carbon option, the RTD AB1 bus that runs hourly from Denver airport to downtown Boulder. The downtown station is a short walk from the hotel (see map on right).
People who can catch the 2:20 pm (or earlier) departure of the AB1 from the airport transit center will arrive before the meeting starts. We will adjourn promptly at noon so people can make the 12:28 pm AB1 departure from Boulder downtown station, or a later bus.
Additionally, the Boulder GreenRide Shuttle provides services between DIA and the Hotel Boulderado.
We cannot cover the cost of any seat upgrades, including but not limited to: additional fees for exit row, premium seats, business class or first class.
If you are traveling on days other than Wed. 11/6 or Fri. 11/8, we will require comparison documentation showing that prices for the flights you are booking are of equal or lesser value to the flights that would have been purchased on the conference travel days. Please submit a screenshot of both flight costs (the flight being purchased and the comparable 11/6 or 11/8 flight) to Katie or Jane to document this.
Lodging at the Hotel Boulderado will be provided for the evenings of Wednesday, Nov. 6th and Thursday, Nov. 7th. We will book rooms for you, based on the information provided in your registration form.
You will need to provide a personal credit card for any incidentals.
If you would like to stay at the Hotel Boulderado beyond the above dates at your own expense, please contact Katie to include the additional date(s) on our rooming list so you may keep the same room. The room rate for nights prior to the conference is $179/night and the weekend rate is $279/night. Payment must be provided upon arrival to the hotel.
Valet parking at the Boulderado is $25/day. This is the best price for those parking a car overnight.
Hourly parking at the Boulderado is $3/day. Parking in the city garages is $1.25/hr for up to 4 hours, and $2.50/hr after that. So the city garage is the best price for those parking a car for the day. The closest city garages are at 11th & Spruce (1.5 blocks west of the Boulderado) or 15th & Pearl. Map
There are several EV charging stations downtown.
Boulder has a good public transit system for a city its size, and the Boulderado is near many bus routes. Use the RTD trip planner to work out how to get to where you are going.
