Cologne Academy's Distance Learning will be delivered through Google Classroom. Students can access Google Classroom through their school issued email address.
Students in lower elementary have had some school experience with using the school's iPad and Chromebooks. Each student's independence in using these devices vary greatly. Cologne Academy will offer both online/web-based and offline resources to support these young learners.
All families are able to check out a Cologne Academy Chromebook for Distance Learning. Families can also make the choice to use their home computer/device and not a school issued Chromebook. Please search Parent Square's March 19th post entitled Chromebook Loaner Request to request a device.
Cologne Academy has checked the availability of internet access in surrounding communities. By March 30, there should be mobile hotspot access in the school's parking lot. If students don’t have online access, teachers will develop an offline learning plan.
Students will not be online all day and there will be a balanced approach across the day and across the week for families to access learning.
Please see the Educational Resources page and your child's Google Classroom for logins and passwords.
