BAYRAMPASA TUNA ANADOLU LISESI

Our School is situated in Bayrampasa, a district of Istanbul. The families of the students have mostly average income level. Most of them are immigrants from Bosnia, Macedonia, Albania, Bulgaria, Yugoslavia, Greece and Armenia. The school population

represents a wide cross section of social and cultural backgrounds, which will be helpful for the project: some of our pupils directly experience the issues of immigration, some of them are also third or fourth generation immigrants who are fully

integrated into our society but keep an interest in their forefathers’. Despite having different cultural roots and religions, these people manage to live together in harmony respecting each others identity.

Our school has been carrying out European Union Projects and local projects for years in order to enable our students' active participation in school subjects and combat failure. We have a big and very experienced project team composed of teachers teaching different subjects. Our project team has the capacity of managing more than one project at the same time.

Teachers in the projects team are divided into different groups according to their expertise and carry out the projects in small groups but always in cooperation. Our school has been conducting some studies on intercultural dialogue, tolerance and internalization in our European Union and E-twinning club.
