ADAPT & The Next Gen RN Project
The goal of the Next Gen RN project is to improve the preparedness of prelicensure nursing graduates for the Next Generation NCLEX (NGN) by providing formative assessments hosted on the LibreText’s ADAPT platform. The Next Gen RN project and LibreTexts have collaboratively customized the ADAPT software platform so that nursing faculty can create, reuse, or remix formative assessments that mimic NGN-style case studies and stand-alone item types based on NCSBN’s Clinical Judgment Measurement Model. The project aims to create 20 case studies that will be freely be available to instructors who may wish to use them. Beyond the scope of this project, the ADAPT platform provides the tools for faculty go beyond these initial 20 case studies to create their own learner assessments.
