School districts serving high school students are assessed based on how “prepared” students are for college and career using the College/Career Indicator (CCI). While the dashboard element of the CCI is paused, College credit-bearing courses continue to be submitted via CALPADS and reported on the “College/Career Measures Only Report.” Participants will hear from CDE administrators how the CCI is evolving and how to submit data via CALPADS to ensure your data is accurately represented. A district leader will share how CA school districts are systematizing the reporting process in collaboration with their partner community colleges and seeing growth in their college course completion data.

Districtwide trends in dual enrollment data are important, but may not reflect the reality at each site in a large diverse district. SDCCD addressed these challenges by reporting recent and persistent disproportionate impact in access and outcomes for Latinx and African American students at the site level. Reporting included summary worksheets to communicate where and how big issues were and dashboards to allow users to focus on their required level of resolution.
