Entry Requirements:Minimum 5 GCSEs at Grade 9-4 mainly at Grade 4 or above.
Course Content:
This is a practical course where you will study important vocational skills in communication, health and safety and equality and diversity. You will gain in-depth knowledge of human growth and development through the life stages and an understanding of the anatomy and physiology of human body systems.
Independent and teamwork skills will be developed through research, groups tasks, discussions and presentations. These provide the background to coursework assignments in class and external examinations. You will integrate your knowledge with real-life experience by applying all work to a health and social care setting.
Future Prospects:
This course prepares you for a wide range of careers and higher education courses such as nursing, midwifery, speech therapy, social work, teaching or the emergency services.
