CMS Graduation Requirements
Students must meet the following requirements to be promoted from one grade to another:
9th to 10th Grade: Students must earn six (6) credits during the 9th grade. Credits can be in any courses.
10th to 11th Grade: Students must have earned a cumulative total of 12 credits. These credits must include English I, English II, and Math I.
11th to 12th Grade: Students must have earned a cumulative total of 18 credits. These credits must include English I, English II, and Math I.
A= 90-100 Excellent Performance
B= 80-89 Very Good Performance
C= 70-79 Satisfactory Performance
D= 60-69 Inconsistent, Low Performance
F= Below 60 Unsatisfactory Performance or Excessive Absences
In accordance with state policy, High School students accumulating more than 10 absences, excused or unexcused per class for 4X4 course or 20 days for an A day/B day course will receive a grade of "F" for the course.
An appeals process is available for unusual circumstances surrounding excessive absences. For more information, please contact your student's counselor.
