Attendance Facts:
Over 8 million U.S. students miss nearly a month of school each academic year.
Research shows that missing 10 percent of the school year, or 18 school days, negatively impacts a student's academic performance. That's just 2 days a month!
Poor attendance can influence whether children read proficiently by the 3rd grade.
When students improve their attendance rates, they improve their chances for academic success as well as ability to graduate from high school on time.
Attendance improves when schools engage students and parents in positive ways.

At Villa Heights, we celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month to recognize the achievements and contributions of Hispanic American champions who have who have inspired others to achieve success.
National Hispanic Heritage Month is celebrated from September 15th- October 15th!
