Shamekia Morris
(Social Worker)
Shamekia Morris began her educational journey with CMS in 2014 as a Behavioral Modification Technician. In 2020 she made the decision to return to college to pursue a degree in Social Work at Livingstone College. Immediately after graduation, she began teaching at Hornets Nest Elementary School. Her passion for building strong relationships between schools and communities led her to the start of her career as a Social Worker here at Providence High.
She was born and raised in Waycross, Ga but relocated to Charlotte in 2013. She is the mother of three adult children and the grandmother of two. When she is not working, she enjoys spending time with her grandchildren, traveling, singing and eating crab legs with her friends. Ms. Morris also organized a Women's Ministry that she meets with once a month to provide support, empowerment and sisterhood.
Advice: Nobody is perfect, so learn and keep moving forward.
