Are you a low-income high school senior who has excelled academically, but feels that the nation’s best colleges are financially out of reach? The QuestBridge National College Match can be your pathway to a top college. Through this college and scholarship application process, you can apply for free to the nation’s best colleges and be considered for early admission and a full four-year scholarship.
Any student of Hispanic origin, defined as the heritage, nationality, lineage, or country of birth of the person or the person’s parents or ancestors before arriving in the United States (U.S. Census Bureau www.census.gov/topics/population/about.html.)
Graduating from a high school located in Mecklenburg, Cabarrus, Gaston, Iredell and Union counties in the state of North Carolina
Accepted to any accredited vocational school, college or university in the USA
Will attend as a full-time student for the entire academic year
Maintained a 2.5 GPA or above
The maximum grant available from the Davis-Putter Scholarship Fund is $15,000 per year (from July 1 through June 30). Grants are disbursed to cover each separate semester, quarter or term during which the grantee is attending school. Grants must be used in the year they are awarded and cannot be deferred or carried over. Recipients must reapply each year support is sought. Applications must be submitted no later than April 1. Applicants will be informed of decisions in July.
Non-resident and DACA
If you’re at least 17, you have a U.S. high school diploma (or equivalent) and you have completed at least one year of college, trade or technical school, you’re invited to apply when applications open again in August 2022.
The Dream Award is open to U.S. citizens, U.S. permanent residents (holders of a Permanent Resident card), or individuals granted deferred action status under the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program (DACA).
Award : Scholars are selected based on merit. Award amounts range from $500 - $5,000, based on relative need.
Eligibility Requirements
Must be of Hispanic heritage
U.S. citizen, permanent legal resident, or DACA
Minimum of 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale (or equivalent) for high school students; minimum of 2.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale (or equivalent) for college and graduate students
Plan to enroll full-time in an accredited, public or not-for-profit, four-year university, or graduate school, in the US, for the 2022-2023 academic year
Submit the FAFSA or state-based financial aid forms (if applicable)
