The NWSA Piano Department is ALWAYS looking for parent volunteers to serve as teaching assistants in the classroom. Our greatest area of need is at the late beginner and early intermediate level. Volunteers work one-on-one with students in the classroom to assist them in learning and practicing their music. Since our classes are very large (usually 15-18 students per class), the amount of help we have in the classroom is a huge factor in determining how much the students are able to accomplish. Volunteering does not have to be a huge time commitment. We appreciate ANY AMOUNT of time you can give!

If you or someone you know is interested in volunteering, please contact Mrs. Stonnell to discuss the opportunities available to you. Depending upon your schedule, Mrs. Stonnell can work to pair you up with a class that meets your ability level and personal needs. All potential volunteers must first sign up to volunteer through the CMS website at www.cmsvolunteers.com. Feel free to e-mail Mrs. Stonnell at kristin.stonnell@cms.k12.nc.us should you have any questions!
